  3. A newly-finished cover design for a book aimed at high school graduates. All the text elements in this image have been changed to nonsense because the actual book is not yet published (it’s in process). Click the arrow (next to the X in upper right corner of this rectangle) to see a larger version.

  4. Book cover for upcoming paperback. Colors might change a bit, but this looks like it’s going to be the final layout. Drawing the scroll/banner part was the most fun part. Did the whole cover in Illustrator (except photo editing in Photoshop).

  8. Final version, I think. It reminds me of patches on astronaut uniforms. I like that. For sale on shirts and possibly other stuff at zazzle.com and cafepress.com.

  10. The third of 5 postcards.

  11. The first two postcards in a series of 5. I was given the text for the backs and the phrases for the fronts, then had to find and purchase stock photos, manipulate them as necessary, select fonts and lay it all out. I did most of the work in Illustrator (except for photo manipulation in Photoshop, when necessary). Because the client hadn’t chosen a printer, I provided cmyk and rgb versions, in various file formats. The cards are 4x6 and meet all US Postal Service regulations.

  13. The invitation for an annual 4th of July celebration in Wisconsin. My first attempt at making a paper toy. It’s not a masterpiece, as paper toys go, but it was a lot of fun to make (I’m still cleaning up the bits of paper from all the variations I did in the process of getting it right) and the hosts of the party are very happy with it. It’s the only invitation of its kind that I’ve ever seen.
